my mother calmly asked.

I hated that question... but looking back, it was probably good advice. Just replace the "jumped in the lake" part with any number of activities that were sure to lead to trouble.

In fact, as I think about it today... Mom's old adage is probably good advice for marketers as well.

Yoda's Playlist If given the choice, I prefer to buy online 99% of the time. No, make that 99.8% of the time.

And it's not that I don't like shopping; it's just that my favorite part of shopping is when we're all done... when we're pulling into the driveway... or when I'm relaxed in the serenity of my own home and I'm using the stuff I just bought.

But alas, I occasionally find myself in a Big Box; an activity that I often later regret.
