So I get a call from Don… and no, that’s not his real name – his real name is David.
Sorry, just can’t help it sometimes!
And Don asks if I REALLY believe you should only do for work what you TRULY love in life. Now, if you’ve read a handful of articles that I’ve written on topics such as these… my answer won’t likely surprise you.
“Well, only if you really want to live a happy and fulfilled life… reach your true potential… and impact the lives of others,” I said. “Otherwise, just go ahead and follow the crowd and kinda fall into whatever comes along… then float with it for forty-five years or so.”
“For sure it’ll lead somewhere… just probably not where you’d like it to if you had the choice. Oh… and BTW, you know you DO have the choice.”
“Yeah,” he said, “and you know I hate it when you do that. But wait ’til I tell you my passion… then you’ll see what I mean.”
Okay, I can wait… but just ’til tomorrow.
What is your passion?
Are you making a good living doing it?
If not, what reasons have you given yourself?
Do you believe them to be legitimate?
What is your plan to eliminate them?
What can you do to start this weekend? Will you?
I look forward to speaking with you soon!
